There are four full-month testing windows each year – February, May, August, and November. Registration and payment for testing opens approximately four (4) months before each testing window and closes at least 28 days before a testing window opens.
Applications should be submitted at least 45 days prior to the desired testing window. If attaching the signed and completed Request for Special Accommodations Form to the NIGP-CPP application, please submit the application and Form at least 60 days prior to the desired testing window.
APPLICATION APPROVAL
Once the application is approved, the candidate receives an approval email, and the application validity period starts on that approval date. The candidate may then visit https://www.nigp.org/certification/current-candidates-register-for-testing to register for testing and remit the testing fee(s). Approximately 24 – 48 hours after the registration and payment are processed, the candidate receives the authorization-to-test email with instructions on how to access the Pearson VUE appointment scheduling system to set up an account and schedule a testing appointment.
All tests must be completed at a Pearson VUE testing center. Pearson VUE is the global leader in computer-based testing and has a considerable listing of testing centers throughout North America and globally.
Testing on Exam Modules A and B ends on November 30, 2026, with the close of the November 2026 testing window. If a candidate has not successfully completed both Exam Module A and Exam Module B by his/her expiration date or November 30, 202 – whichever comes first - her/his application and NIGP-CPP candidacy will expire November 30, 2026.
