All scheduled appointments must be cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice by the candidate through his/her own Pearson VUE account.
- If cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice, the candidate may reschedule to an available appointment – within the same testing window – without a further fee.
- If cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice, the candidate may transfer to a later testing window by remitting the transfer fee – if the two-year application period has not expired.
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or the appointment is missed, the testing fee paid for this testing window is forfeited. Pearson VUE charges NIGP-CPP for all missed appointments, and this fee is passed on directly to the candidate. The candidate will be required to remit a new $100 testing fee to register again for testing.
- There are provisions for medical or family emergencies that occur within 24 hours of a testing window. Documentation must be provided to the NIGP-CPP team within 7 calendar days following the scheduled appointment to request a review of this fee. Please review the Certification Handbook, https://www.nigp.org/certification/nigp-cpp, for specifics.
